On the market there are a variety of basketball games. Many are hard to describe, and this game is an example of one of these. NBA on NBC is just basketball with two players on each side. While all the NBA players are on it, you can create your own particular player with unique statistics, and your records are kept on the VMU. Get 4 people and battle it out. Play a cat and a wolf verses a wizard and an alien. If you want. There isn't a season mode (which is a downpoint) but the variety of options sort of combats this. Finding it too easy? This game is a great Multiplayer.However it does have some letdowns, The single player mode is a big dissapointment. You have the options of Creating your own character with his/her own attribute points and privalages. You can have a famous star as your character or even have the Chicago Bulls mascot. The graphics are fairly avarage and the commentary is also fairly repetitive. The gameplay is easy to pickup and quite addicktive untill you compleate the game. This game is kind of fun, but there is no real stragety involved in it. If you are a true fan of basketball then NBA 2K is 10x better. But for all the other folks this game is ok... personally i like the NFL blitz game better. the Gameplay gets repative after a while. the graphics is not the best i've seen for the dreamcast, but it is very similar to the arcade. You take control of many teams from the eastern and western conferences from the New York knicks to the Washington wizards. All your favourite players are there too from the huge figure of Shaq o'neil to the small and agile figure of Muggsy bogues. Take your team to the play offs or simply compete for league position. U will c a lot of people who think this game is lame, unrealalistic, or crumby cuz it has fouls, but listen 2 me, give this game a chance! It's a mix between NBA Jam and NFL Blitz, wut could b better? N Kobe Bryant NBA Courtside 1 the fouls r wimpy, but n this u can take high flying dunks, and if u r mad u can really take out your anger by committing a foul, not mentioning the sweet codes n this game.
