*A review of Phantasy Star Online Version 2 which only considers the offline aspect of the game!* I don't believe there are significant differences between this and the first version of the game to warrant going for one over the other. While the official servers are down there are means of playing this game (or any other PSO title) online. However, for those who do not know enough to get it set up (like me) is it worth it for the offline experience?
