I have to admit I perhaps haven't played Power Stone enough to really appreciate the game. As a single player game I found it incredibly difficult to get into. There's so much going on that it can be quite difficult to follow the battle. Graphically the game is god, with a clean anime style to the characters and locations. The gameplay is pure slap stick, think of a Jackie Chan fight to get some idea.

Within the arena you can use any object you can pick up to attck the opponent, along with weapons that fall into the arena and of course you can always get the 3 power stones. It's this complexity that makes the game a tough one to play against the computer, which I have to admit has made a good job of beating me so far. The game comes into its own when played against friends. In this situation everyone's on an equal footing and you can just get down to a frantic struggle to collect those weapons and stones and beat your opponent.

I'd recommend the game if you're looking for a fun change from your normal beat-em-up and especially if you can round a few friends together for some bouts. One thing to bear in mind is that Power Stone 2 is on the way and this looks even better so it might be worth waiting for that
