I'll start with this, Resident Evil was good when it had zombies, this is something it lacks nowadays, with the most recent spree of Resident Evil games, 4, 5 and 6 where massive let downs in my eyes and the live action movies make me sick, but, this isn't any of those, this is Resident Evil 2, game of my childhood and my life. Resident Evil 2 is the first Resident Evil game to take place within Raccoon City, set 2 months after the events of the original Resident Evil this game is nothing short of a masterpiece. The Resident Evil series has seen better days - the movies have gone downhill since the first half decent entry, Resident Evil 5 was a huge let-down for everyone and the general lack of zombies is sorely noticeable. Therefore I tend to take solace in the earlier titles for this zombie franchise which were absolutely 100% survival horror. The newer titles are simply action games with zombies and while fun to play, will never be Resident Evil games. Resident Evil 2 was released back in 1998 for the Playstation and was quickly ported to the Sega Dreamcast by the turn of the century. This game came out not long after the successful release of the first game around the year 2000. This game came out for a few consoles such as the Playstation and Dreamcast. You have a choice of playing either a rookie cop called Leon, or a reporter called Claire. Each character has a different ending. The G-virus in the Umbrella Corporation has broke loose. Transforming almost all the people in the city into living dead flesh eaters. So its up to you to save Racoon city and the world. You start off on the streets and have to run to a safe place.
