Advantages: Great Music, Freaking Scary

"They hoped it was all over. But then it happened again Suddenly, a series of Inexplicable murders occurred and a strange disease began invading neighbourhoods. The T-Virus was flowing into the city... The invisible plague snuck up silently and turned the unsuspecting citizens into monsters."

Before I continue I feel there are a few terms that you need to understand

S.T.A.R.S. = Special Tactics and Rescue Service, S.T.A.R.S. was founded under the jurisdiction of the Raccoon City Police Department to deal with increasing terrorism and crime.

Umbrella = the corporation that created the virus in all three Resident Evils.

U.B.C.S. = Umbrella Biohazard Countermeasure Service, formed to help prevent the zombies from taking over the city.

This is I think part three in the Resident Evil series is the best, as there are some new dimensions and features. Including new weapons and a new feature the live selection, which I will talk about later. This isn’t just the best game of the serries I think it is the best game of it’s sort.

----Characters----
There are two main characters in this game Jill Valentine (the main character and an ex member of S.T.A.R.S.) and Carlos Oliveira (member of U.B.C.S.). This is a new feature in the Resident Evil games being different characters in the one game. In Resident Evil 2 you had the choice of two people but with two different CD’s. Anyway I think this is a good feature as it adds a bit of a variety.

----Enemies----
The enemies range from Zombies (obviously) to Evil Dogs to Crows. But the worst one of them all is The Nemesis, he pops up about eight or nine times all though the game, and if you watch carefully you will notice a change in him and it will become obvious at the end. He is generally annoying but it is a good twist to the game, and sometimes when he jumps out on you it can really make you jump

----Weapons----
You c
an really show the zombies what you’re made of with some impressive weapons. Including the Assault Rifle, Rocket Launcher, Gatling Gun etc. They have made some big improvements on the first to games on weapons. My favourite is the Magnum, when you shot the zombies the bullet hits them in the head and it falls off, classic.

----Live Selection----
This is the newest and best part of the Resident Evil games. It makes the game even more interesting; you have two options to choose from on each live selection. This offers an interesting twist to the game, as you have more decision in what happens to you in the game. As each different selection can mean death or a new weapon.

----Graphics----
This game features some pretty cool 3D graphics. The best looking thing is the nemesis and especially the final mutation of him. The zombies are dipping with pus and good and also look real, that is if a zombie can look real. This game features a new 3D graphics generator (what ever the hell that means). But it is obviously working because this is one of the sharpest crispest Playstation games I have played.

----Music/Sound----
The music is creepy and at times can really freak you out! You are constantly looking over your shoulder because you never know when a Zombie is going to jump out. The sounds are incredible. The moans of the zombie’s are very scary and there’s nothing worse than ten zombies edging closer to you and you hear the click, click, yes the sound of no ammo!

----Difficulty----
This is the hardest game on Playstation and if you said to me you finished this game without using a walk though, you would have to prove it to me. There is so many false leads that can annoy you but my advice is to just keep at it and only cheat as a last resource

This is a brilliant game and very cheap hence very good value for money. I bought it for a very cheap $20. This is extremely cheap for what yo
u get. This is Eidos’s (The maker of the game) best game. It received a 10/10 from Playstation and many other game magazines; I also give it this great rating. Now I’ve said its good professionals said its good so what are you waiting for go out and buy it!

I recommend this game to any body that loves the other two Resident Evil games or likes Shot em up or adventure games.
