Advantages: Excellent 4 player, great graphics!

Disadvantages: Some sound problems...

This is the most perfect Rush to date. I have never seen such a racing game like this. The whole style of Rush has been totally reworked to fit this game. I am happy to say that this is a good review:

Graphics-10
Perfect 10 here. I was impressed at Midway's work on the graphics. The 60fps does break up at times, but it only goes back to the orginal N64 quality, which isn't a bad thing. I like the fact that the graphics have been completely redone to fit the specifications of the Dreamcast from the previous 64 versions. This includes the new look for the explosions.

Sound/Music-8
This is another improvement, that is the music department. The other Rushes never actually got as much attention to the sound department as this one. The music could have been a bit more traditional to the Rush series, but they do match the style of the game (the year 2049). Sometimes, however, the sounds shut off for a time. The other problem is that when there is more than one player, the sound and music totally glitches out. These problems knock down this category to an 8.

Control-10
The control is perfect in the Rush series. The math-calculated physics help. Some of the old tricks I tried from previous Rushes (slamming your opponent in the air so he flies into a building) don't seem to work here. The wings factor also plays a major role (even though I don't use them at all). The wings allow for new control that has never been touched in Rush history. All in all, the game's control is completely new and diffrent from anything else.

Gameplay-10
Another extremely hard racing game. I don't know why Midway pushed the difficulty up so far. I guess that they thought that the other Rushes were too easy (not in my opinion). The game is impressive in itself, but they should really look at how hard they made this game before they put out the next one.

Replay Value-10
The coins in the game make the replay value
of this game perfect. You can play until you get them all. It is really cool. The sheer number of options also make the game a great blast to play over and over again.

Overall-10
This game is a definite buy. Regardless of what system you want it on, you will have a blast. The year 2049 brings some things new. And in the case of Rush, the list of ''new'' isn't even countable.
