Disadvantages: Boring after a while

Sega Bass Fishing is a really good game, one that you need to play, and one that everyone will want to play at parties, new years and family gatherings - it's fun just to use the fishing rod peripheral to actually real in that super bass - and they look so authentic too!

At a good price, the game is worth buying, despite it not being the greatest in longevity terms. You will play for around a week or two before getting bored I would think, but this is one to keep as your family and friends will love playing it, it's quite funny watching someone try their hand at virtual Fishing!

Why go fishing in a video game? Well, why go fishing in life? All you do is put the fish back after hours of waiting around to catch it? In Sega Bass fishing you keep the fish, with it's mass being added to the total mass, giving you a score at the end. It's as pointless as the real thing, but there's less waiting around, and you won't get wet if it rains.

The graphics are sensational, although the rippling effects on the water surface are a little poor, but the fish look real - they move like real fish, and think like them too - some will go straight for the bait, whilst others, usually large super bass, will just stay static and not give a monkeys.

The sound is dreadful though, with awful commentary 'select time' in an annoying voice, although the water sounds aren't bad.

The game has several modes, including a fairly good championship mode - the game is good, but there's only one style of fish, the game gets boring after a while, so 4 stars for originality alone.
