Advantages: Superb unrivalled realism!

NBA 2K was the best Sega Sports title out on Dreamcast in Europe until the mighty Virtua Tennis was released. The graphics are amazing: each player looks as though they are REAL and the movement and speed is just brilliant. NBA 2K is the best Basketball title in the world at the moment, really is a great game to play.

The controls are easy enough to learn, and there are many different game modes to play, including Play offs, quick start, exhibition and Season. the only problem with the game is that it takes up 199 bits on your memory card (nearly all of it) so, unless you're prepared to spend £20 on one I suggest you leave the season until you are.

The gameplay is superb, everything is realistic and there are some great lighting effects. There's te option to create your own player or even team which is great as well. The most impressive part of the game though, in my opnion, is the atmosphere of having a real basketball game. This is greatly helped by the cheering moving 3D crowds and, what can only be described as the most advanced and realistic commentry a sports game has ever witnessed. If you think the Fifa games have good commentry then try NBA 2K out - you'll soon see/hear what I mean.

You simply have to own this game if you are a sports fan, or you could wait until the next version NBA2K1 is released later this year (or early next year).
