Advantages: Good graphics and gameplay
Disadvantages: Player positions in game change
CONSOLE: Dreamcast
Genre: Football
Published by: Sega
Release: 2000
This was the first game I had for the Dreamcast console and remembered that the graphics blew my away after playing for the first time but by today's standards the graphics are now out dated.
This game was challenging the UEFA titles at the time and did compete on some levels although there were a few problems along the way with this game.
GRAPHICS
Great pixels at the time but now out dated and Pro Evolution and FIFA have taken over the football gaming world. The stadiums were quite accurately designed and the player movements were ok.
SOUND QUALITY
It sounds great and hearing the fans chant and players groan is a great addition.
CONTROLS
The controls for this were quite easy to pick up and once you were up and running you could score so awesome goals.
FEATURES
The game had clubs as well as international teams and had leagues, cups and playoffs which you could play in although I didn't win many as my friends used to knock me out of the competitions.
This was one of the most top rated games until International Superstar Soccer Pro 64 was released. The lack of licenses is not a good feature of this game but it does give users a chance to edit their names a bit like the PES series.
CONCLUSION
The main bug in the game was the players positioning and that they tend to forget were they were standing when the football was kicked which was really annoying. But the graphics are good and the gameplay quite enjoyable especially against friends.
I would recommend to anyone who still has a Dreamcast console.
RATING: 3/5 - Would have been higher if not for the annoying bugs.
Summary: Great game for football nuts and quite enjoyable
