Disadvantages: dodgy sound?

Sometimes some things become to big to ignore. It could be that rather large spot on the end of your nose or maybe even global warming. But neither of these things are what im talking about. What im talking about is a game known as Shenmue.

Over the last 1 and a half years this game has been recieveing more attention than any other game that was/is in development. The most amazing thing about this game is that it manages to live up to its huge mass of hype.This game is awesome.

Once you boot up the game the first real thing you will see is the start sequence this maybe a little underwhelming for some people who are used to the pre-rendered sequences of the playstation it is only when you realise that this is in real time you become amazed at the quality.

begin playing the game for real. The controls may feel a little awkward at first but in 10 minutes you fell like youve been doing this for a your whole life. After a few minutes in to the game you realise what all the hype was about. the FREE (fully reactive eyes entertainment ) brings a whole new level to video gaming as we know it. You soon see.....this is far more than a game...this is an experience you will not soon forgot. and not want to for that matter.

As you progress through the game meeting puzzles and different obstacles you will come across shenmues revolutionary QTE (quick timer event) system. this basically has you pressing the approprite buttons as the they show up on the screen this is a lot more fun than it may first sound and you can always increase you reaction speed in the arcade.

After all this game was made by one of the most influention and groundbreaking men in the entire games industry. A man by the of yu sukuki his prevous works can be seen in the the arcade and include such titles as space harrier and super hang on. he is clearly proud of his past work ( but why not!!)

Realising the sheer amount of things to do in this
game aside from the plot this game never gets boring as you can collect little figures of sonic and virtua fighter characters they can keep you amused for hours as ryo seems to have a strange fascination with them!!

This game truly is fantastic and is not only one of the DC best titles but on of the best on any platform to date. I would severly recommened this title to anyone looking for a fantastic gaming experience. With little things that only the hardcore will ever find and things that the casual gamer will not be bothered with this game caters for everyone. if you havent already got this game then it maybe a good idea to get your head checked!!!
