Sonic Adventure 2 is slightly better than the first one – I can definitely come to that conclusion, but I will only award the sequel 4 stars instead of 5 because 1 and a half years on I do not believe the improvement is great enough, there still some niggles and flaws in the game, but overall, it’s more of that same classic, unbeatable Sonic speed gameplay. And it’s worth your money, I can tell you that.

Graphics have improved from the original, although only slightly as the first was pretty impressive, and we now no longer have to endure the ‘between level’ boredom that was gratuity with the first, thankfully everything is a lot less dull, more vibrant and more exciting to play.

An incredible amount of levels sees Sonic and some new, previously unheard of, friends progress through colourful, often frustrating, but unmistakably Sonic-style levels and challenges.

Plus Points:

Evil Sonic! Sonic faces the new suspiciously similar looking, but dark, hedgehog, created by his enemy! Livens the game up no end!

Graphically, proficiently, masterfully and superb gaming!

Less waiting around, lack of cut scenes. Good!

Downsides:

Camera is even dodgier than before!

Game gets boring in completion - it’s a play once, sell on kind of game.

Overall an excellent game, but the longevity once completed is minimal.
