Advantages: Great graphics and sound, cool Sonic levels to run through.

Disadvantages: Very easy difficulty, Other characters all offer rubbish abilities and crappy adventures. Story.

Finally after years of waiting after the great Sonic series on the Mega Drive console, and no outings on its following consoles, Sonic finally back, and in such style in 3D!

The game which launched with the Sega Dreamcast console, offers a new Sonic adventure in great new realistic looking 3D graphics, awesome sounds and speedy level exploring gameplay.

Tails and Knuckles return from previous adventures, Knuckles has to go through levels finding emeralds in hidden areas of the level, which is quite dissapointing as it takes away what Sonic games are all about which is speeding through the zones, you also get another 3 characters, Amy, Big, and E-102 Gamma. Three dissapointing adventures await these three as Amy goes on a slow route hammering things to get to places, Big does a lot of fishing in which i'm sure half of people including me find fishing boring, and the robot does nothing but very dull lock-on laser blasting.

All of the characters go into the same Adventure hub level, to explore and go to the action stages, which is pretty neat, you get to catch a train ride from one place to another.

The story which is a first in a Sonic outing, isn't too bad, It can be fun to watch somewhat but still mars the game i feel.

Controls in places can get twitchy, but otherwise majority of levels are ok to control.

Boss fights are extremley easy, and does not take much to complete, but much of the challenge comes with emblem collection.

The sound affects are great, and the soundtrack music is wonderful, there are some true hits that you find humming to yourself.

If you're a Sonic fan this really is a must have in your collection, but don't expect this to beat the classis mega drive games, they cannot be and will never be beaten for all round Hedgehog quality.

Summary: Fairly good game, Worth owning and playing over sometimes.
