Advantages: Sonic in 3D and it works!

Disadvantages: None

If you have a Dreamcast. 1) You must be a Sonic fan and 2)You would have this game! As a launch title for the Dreamcast, this was like what Halo was for the Xbox! Many people picked up the Dreamcast just because of this game! Another revelation is that Sonic is in 3D and it works! Unlike the terrible recently released 3D Sonic games (such as Sonic and The Black Knight and Sonic Unleashed), this one totally walks over them! Sega went all out and managed to implement the 2D Sonic games in a 3D space, while keeping Sonic's trademark speed, sound and moveset, while introducing some great (and not so great) characters into the series!

Sonic Adventure is split into multiple storylines, with choices from Sonic, Tails, Knucles, Big The Cat (who should never have been invented) and more! Sonic's storyline is the biggest and the story is that Dr. Eggman (yes there is no Robotnik unfortunately) is up to his old tricks and again wants to take over the world with the help of the powerful being Chaos. He is trying to unlock the true power of Chaos and it is destroy with world. Sonic doesn't want this to happen and fights both Robotnik and Chaos! The graphics are absolutely superb for the Dreamcast and it really does capture the speed and sound of the famous blue Hedgehog. You will go through many different stages, going from beach to lava and more!

Using your VMU, the game allows you to transfer Chao's (little creatures from the game) to your memory card and then use it as a pocket tamagochi! You can swap with your mate and transfer it back to the game! This gives you new minigames and more!

Online did have leaderboards, however since Seganet has been offline for many years now, this isn't possible!

Summary: The Blue Hedgehog lives on in the Dreamcast!
