Advantages: Its Sonic

Disadvantages: Its over very quickly

The classic Sega character makes it in the world of 3D I was a little worried at what they would do one of the best computer characters of all time. As the 2d Games on the mega drive were classics, the Nintendo team did a great job with Mario 64, so I hoped that Sega would take the same type of care.

I needn't have worried as they have produced a very good game, still in the style of the old sonic’s. The levels may still be in 3d but the game still feels like the old classics, and its on the bits in between these levels that are truly in 3d as you have freedom of movement, the levels themselves you are set upon set paths and all do is go forward, no need to go back, this is not a complaint I like this. It’s a very fast game when played with sonic, and you should have no trouble in completing the game.

When you meet other characters in the game, you get the chance to as them, and play different levels from the start. That’s said the game does not have the pick and play factor like the older games once you have finished the game I doubt you will want to play through the game again.

Another nice touch is that the exciting levels that once completed can be played at any time you to the fact that they are unlocked from the main menu, which is good.

I have seen this game for, as little as £7 and at that price you cannot go wrong. But I prefer to play the classics sonic's games.
