Advantages: Amazing graphics and classic platform gameplay.

Disadvantages: Can be tough.

This was one of the first games I got with my Dreamcast and I've thoroughly enjoyed it. I was already a Sonic fan, but this is my favourite game in the series. Somehow it manages to transfer the gameplay of the 2D games into its 3D world. The ability to play several different characters with different skill adds variety to the game. There's a simple plot of Sonic and friends versus Dr. Eggman, but by playing the different characters you get to see their portion of the story.

The Sonic Adventure world is large, with 6 major characters each having 10 levels too complete. These levels sometimes overlap so two different characters may play through the same level, but they'll be taking completely different approaches. The levels are connected by the Adventure world, which isn't a simple linking device, but will often contain elements of gameplay of its own.

Overall I'd sa it's an entertaining 3D platformer, up there with the likes of Mario on the N64. If you've got a Dreamcast, you should own this game. For more enjoyment, I recommmend you play it in Japanese too.
