This game is a sequel to Soul Blade but Soul Calibur blows Soul Blade out of the water, better in every department, graphics, sound and gameplay, this game must have a place in your collection. The game features an identical version of the arcade machine and also adds a story mode, this is where the game excels, the story mode will keep you ... Read the complete review

I believe that it is not as clear cut as either of those. It is a great game but it could be improved. The graphics are great but not perfect. Like with any game (to date), you see the odd imperfection and with this game it is useally the surrounding water. It looks better than anything i have seen on a conole before but it is not perfect like ... Read the complete review

Soul Calibur is a beat em up. That's all it is! Okay, so it looks amazing, and play brilliantly, and you've got massive weapons to kill people with (cool!). If this game was a car it would be a BMW M3, cheap, fast and fun to play with! This is one of the best beat um up games I have played since Tekken (which is the daddy). This game missed out one thing that the playstation version Soul Blade had and that was the chance to make your opponent lose there weapon... This game has the pick up and ... This is the absolute Daddy of all fighting games (well, considering I don't have the Playstation 2 with Tekken Tag or Dead or Alive 2 yet). It's from Namco and those dudes just know the business when it comes to sorting out beat 'em ups, what with their history of the Tekken series and everything. What else can I say? There ...
