Didn't anyone else get Tokyo 2 for Xmas? I guess not, but then you haven't missed out on much! The game is better than the original, but retains many annoying faults and features, that make the game not quite good enough. Firstly, as with the previous game, there are no official cars, although the 'pretend cars' do look exactly the same as the real cars that they're imitating - the graphics are good, but the cars look far too shiny! The tracks are dull, and you can only play at night for some reason! The game has a weak 2player mode - the single player game is also lacklustre. The music is great, but that's the only ... i just got THC the other day second hand. you put the disk in your grey box of tricks and hope the game is as good as the graphics. unlike games like code: veronica and the surperlative MSR, it is not. the cars look great ( for shoddy copys of real life cars ), the track(s) ( if you count both directions) must have taken a genius to think up. the racing is great, for about 2 minutes, then you realise that you cannot race and win without crashing. with gameplay that a pile of s*#t could do better then, this is a game for people who like to look rather then play. graphics should be the icing on the cake, not the cake itself. One to leave on the shelf. ... Read the complete review

The origional Tokyo Highway was so poor that it was not even reviewed by some DC magazines, however the game appealed to me as a car freak. The origional displayed graphics and effects which had never quite been seen before on a games console. The sequel has got my indefinate vote. from the outstanding jaw dropping visuals to the feeling of ripping along a highway at near enough 200mph. this is sure to take dreamcast owners by storm, and will have PC owners begging for a conversion to PC. Even if you hate driving games, the feeling of thrashing a car at 190mph in the dark on a blind bend will have you rushing for your dreamcast. MSR will be a sure hit in its own ... Unsurprisingly this is the sequel to last year?s mediocre Tokyo Extreme Racer and is developed once again by Genki who are now one of the main companies supporting Sega. The main problem with last year?s game was it's poor floaty handling and average graphics. What has Genki changed since then?. The main overhaul has been the graphics. This new game now looks AMAZING and is up with the quality of Playstation 2 racers. Lights reflect off the cars as if they actually had curved surfaces and each car model looks supreme. This time around there is also more track and the track side details look nicer and are more varied. Last year's edition had 30km of ... Read the complete review
