You have to race for about 2-3 hours before you start earning some real money but when you buy the best car congratulations you have completed the game because there is nothing left to do! When your going quite fast and more than 3 cars are on the screen at the same time it goes incredibly slow! WHY??? The dreamcast is one of the most powerful machines out! Why does it go slow? I've got better things to do in my time than comment on this game! If your go...more

My mate got this game for chrismas in a package deal with some other games. Since this game had been given some quite bad reviews then I had never bothered to play it. The other day me and two of my friends where bored so we decided to play on Tokyo Highway Challenge and it actually turned out to be quite a decent game. This game has an all new style to it (like alot of DC games). What you have to do is to race around the highways of Tokyo and find other boy racers and give em a flash of your lights and ure away on a highspeed race!! The game has a new style of racing which is....Both players start off with a bar at the top of the screen. Once the ...  Read the complete review

In Tokyo highway challenge you drive around in Tokyo in a car, challenging other racers to race you. If you win this races you win money, which you can use to buy more expensive and better cars, gran turismo style. The graphics in Tokyo highway challenge are truly amazing, and the gameplay isn’t bad either. The one problem with Tokyo highway challenge is the length of it (v short) and the fact that it is so easy. A very good, but quite a short game worth renting out for a night or 2. ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Tokyo Xtreme Racer (DC): how boring (117 words)

this is one of the most boring games i have ever played, you might think driving round a highway, challanging other drivers to races would be fun, well trust me, its not.Its ok to start with, but all the races are the same and its quite difficult too. Another bad thing is that there are no different highways!, its the same boring one all the time! I enjoyed this game for about a day before i realized how rubbish it was, so dont make the same mistake, dont buy this game, you will regret every minute of it, recommend it to anyone who like being bored, otherwise, stay well clear of this game. ...  Read the complete review

Tokyo Extreme is like one of those movies that the critics downplay, but turns out to be a cult classic. Quite simply, it is the most addictive game I've ever played. If your tired of Grand Prix style racing games, check this one out...The cars you race are real cars and they've been designed to handle and perform like their actual counterparts. Really, the detail that went into this game is amazing. And it takes a while to beat, like a great game should! Alot of people that have played it thought it was boring. It's definitely a game for the hardcore racer. I think your actual driving style must fit this game in order to enjoy it. This is one of those ...  Read the complete review

There is not a lot that I can say about this boreing, pointless, waste of money AND space on the shelves! What fun can you see about racing the same people over and over again just to buy a new car? At least Gran Turismo is good! Shall we start then? You start of with a lowly 25,000 credits (not a lot) to buy yourself a piece of c**p!
