Advantages: Good Multiplayer and Quest Mode and graphics

Disadvantages: One Track (Tokyo`s highways)!!! but then again that is the point of it¬¬

My mate got this game for chrismas in a package deal with some other games.
Since this game had been given some quite bad reviews then I had never bothered to play it.
The other day me and two of my friends where bored so we decided to play on Tokyo Highway Challenge and it actually turned out to be quite a decent game.
This game has an all new style to it (like alot of DC games).
What you have to do is to race around the highways of Tokyo and find other boy racers and give em a flash of your lights and ure away on a highspeed race!!
The game has a new style of racing which is....Both players start off with a bar at the top of the screen. Once the race starts the car that is behind will start to lose enery from his bar, The further the leader pulls awat from the other car the further the quicker the other cars energy bar will start to go down. If the other car is closer to you then it will go down slower. If the car overtakes you then our energy bar will go down. The car which does not lose all its energy is the winner!!

This game has various options aswell to keep you entertained.

Quick Race = As you can probably imagine.....A quick Race!!

Quest Mode = This is by far the best mode in the game. You start off with a small amount of money (enough to buy a rubbish car). Then you go out onto the streets of Tokyo to race other cars and earn some vital money to upgrade your car. The people out on the streets also upgrade their cars!!
To start you only earn small amounts of money racing other slow cars like yourself.You race cars from other gangs.When you have beeten all the cars from a gang their leader comes up behind you and challenges you to a race.The leader normally has a faster car than you so this is a hard race.
You will earn alot of money if you defeat him.
Eventually you will be able to afford new cars and engines for them.

VS Mode = This is where two people race. In this mode you can use your s
tandard cars or use you cars from quest mode!!

In this game there are lots of cars available to buy but the only drawback is that they do not have offical licences but if you know anything about cars then you will know what cars they are because they look Exactly the same as the originals.

Toyota Supra
Nissan Skyline
Porshe 911 Carrera
Mitsubishi GTO

and many more.......

There is the option of renaming your cars so you can call them the original names.

In quest mode you can buy lots of upgrades for your cars including :

Drive Trains
Suspension
Wheels
Mufflers
Spoilers
Lights
Front Grills
Bumpers
Rear Bumpers
Side Skirts
Mirrors

and more......

This game is a good game untill you complete quest mode and even then you can always have a laugh with your mates.

One drawback to this game is definatly the controls.
The turning is not sharp enough so you have to brake alot but this might have been done on purpose.

I have seen a few PRE-views of Tokyo 2 and that game looks Amazing!!!! It actually uses the full power of the DC which no game yet made has done!!!!
