Advantages: Fun and a very impressive looking allround, Nice Audio tracks too
Disadvantages: May be rejected by the impatient racer gamer
Vanishing Point - Aklaim / Clockwork Games (Sega Dreamcast) Vanishing Point is an impressive racer with its vast array of options that you can fiddle about with like you can unlock a feature which allows you to tune up your car The options that your offered at the main menu are the usual type , Tournament , Time Trial, Single Race, Internet Challenge etc... BUT!!! This is a fine point that makes this racer worth that little bit more thought in whether to buy this or Sega GT/MSR etc... Vanishing point includes a stunt driver option where the driver is to tackle various tracks/tasks withing a time limit.. This option i felt proved that purchasing Vanishing Point is a worthy purchase as the stunt driver option is really good This game isnt about beating off the computer opposition its about beating the track/course's time The game features top name car manufacturers like Lotus, Dodge, Shelby, Ford, Toyota and some others such as VW and Austin famous for its Austin Mini The Graphics are impressive allround and the cars rendered looks made the cars look shiny and new Each car accelerates and handles differently and this will affect your driving style as you have no choice but to do so or your at the back of the grid The Audio trax in this game are nice and mello too with tracks like "The Purple Maze" and my favourite one "Live High" the music is very relaxing and it doesnt put you off your driving Its hard for Dreamcast owners to find Sega's answer to Sony's Gran Turismo and i'd say that this game does have a good try to appeal to the driving audience of the Dreamcast format BUT!!! Unfortunatly This game is a game that you really have to know how to drive in driving games as this game doesnt feature the "pick up and play" feature like some games do as the first thing you'll do once you start driving is
you'll be all over the road unless you adjust the steering senitivity to high..if you didnt realise that there was such an option i reckon the average gamer would take it back to the shops The game is good, Patience is a key factor in this game when your starting off with the low speed cars, Stunt drivers fun Worth buying if your looking for a reasonable racer that features top names in the motor car industry... I like it and im still playing it DJ Sneaky Seg "Very good buy, although ask your friends on their opinions about MSR and Sega GT before you set out to buy your Dreamcast racer" --------------------------------------------- News Update... I've finallty completed Vanishing Point and i have to say that this has been one of the most difficult and long lasting racer'z ive played to date... Im now working away on Sega'z MSR *Metropolis Street Racer* which is also a very good racer so keep a look out for my opinion on Sega'z MSR...
