Advantages: Tastes great, not too unhealthy compared to other drinks
Disadvantages: Its still a fizzy drink
7UP is a drink made by Britvic Soft Drinks Ltd.
***Packaging***
The packaging is green with the 7up logo on the front, pictures of lemon and lime slices surrounded by bubbles, and a cartoon of a boy drinking through a straw. It used to have the ridiculous name of "Bib-Label Lithiated Lemon-Lime Soda" in the 1920s- no wonder they changed it!
***Ingredients***
Wonderfully, and very different for a fizzy drink, there are no preservatives, no colourings and no caffeine in this drink. The ingredients include carbonated water, sugar, citric acid, natural flavourings, malic acid, acidity regular (sodium citrate).
With only trace amounts of sodium (salt)
The flavor of the drink is lemon and llime.
***My Opinion***
Whilst I don't usually go for fizzy drinks, this particular one is delicious and fizzy and lovely. It's refreshing and full of flavor. A lot of drinks available are just a load of bubbles- no flavour or taste- but this is a drink I enjoy despite the bubbles. In fact, the bubbles actually complement the flavor. The flavour is lemony (I can't taste the lime) but is also sweet. I usually find lime on its own to be sour but if its in this it isn't causing the drink to taste bad.
Due to the lemon contained in it and the carbonated water, 7up can help digest food so if you feel bloated have half a can and that should help!
Fizzy drinks should be drunk in moderation but I love the taste of this stuff and occasionally indulge in a can (usually with fried chicken which is my favourite food- well, my thinking is, if you're going to be bad you might as well be really bad!)
