a got a bottle of this recently and it was simply wonderful. I am usually a drinker of the peated islay style malts, but thought i would give this cask strength speysider a go. they release this bottling sporadicly in different batches, each batch has slightly different characteristics and is of a limited run. the bottle i had was from batch 35 and was bottled at 60.3%. the packaging is very well done with a simple yet sturdy brown card tube and a very satisfying chunky bottle, i also loved the wax seal around the cork. it added up to make what is a very satisfying bottle of quality whisky. so on with the actual whisky review: NOSE: very sweet and an ...  Read the complete review

Those of you who are still perservering with my opinions in the hope that I will do something about my poor spelling, original punctuation and forgettable sense of humour may remember that I wrote an op about a summer trip to Gibraltar. Whilst walking down Gibraltar's main street (basically a huge Duty Free shop), I was lucky enough to clap eyes on this beautiful dram which I swiftly purchased. It tuned out to have been a wise move.
