I don't really like vodka much because it has got such a harsh taste and even with a mixer it still burns my throat as it goes down, my cousin knows this so I was confused when she got me a bottle of Absolut vodka for my birthday and I stashed it in my dads drinks cabinet because I didn't want it. It wasn't til she phoned a week later and asked if I liked the vanilla vodka that i realised it was something different from normal vodka and straight away I went and did myself a glass because I love the taste of vanilla. I had my first one with lemonade to soften the vodka up a bit and it was delish. The vanilla flavour is loads stronger than I thought ... Read the complete review

Absolut Vanilia (not Absolut Vanilla) was first put on the market in 2003. This is flavoured vodka which does not have any added sugar. It has taste of light, fragrant vanilla and a kind of chocolatey smell too. This product is distilled in Ahus, in Sweden and is part of a whole range of flavoured Vodkas. Absolut Vodka is made from water and wheat before the vanilla flavouring is added. This is not just any wheat, it is a specific Swedish winter wheat which has a particularly hard grain because it grows between autumn and harvested the next autumn. The water comes from a particular well in Ahus which is protected from ... Read the complete review

For me, Absolut Vanilla Vodka is a clean, fresh twist on traditional vodka and packs quite a punch at 40% proof. Its made from wheat and water so its clear, clean ingredients and less likely than darker drinks to leave you with a raging hangover. The bottle is ubber trendy and when you take the top off, there is a fabulous vanilla aroma. I store mine in the freezer so its ice cold and tastes even better. You can have it neat, but that's not for me, I prefer it in a cocktail or with cranberry juice in a tall glass with lots of ice. Apparently there's a hint of butterscoth in it as well as chocolate, though perhaps my palette ... Read the complete review

You know, I cannot believe I haven't done this sooner. Frightfully remiss of me, really, seeing as I seem to be single-handedly keeping the company in a healthy profit margin. I started drinking when I was 13, which probably isn't to be recommended. Mind you, it did me no harm (I say that optimistically. An autopsy may well reveal that my liver's been protesting quietly for 16 years). As a 13 year old, I eschewed cider and snakebite in favour of the oh so sophisticated Mad Dog 20/20. Don't remember it? Well, either you're younger than 29 or you never embraced teenage alcoholism with quite the same fervour that I did. Available in a range of ... Read the complete review

If you're a regular reader of my reviews you'll know that not only do I like all things chocolate but also most things with an alcohol content. Apart from rum, but that's another story. I tend to enjoy the more luxurious sweet drinks; Baileys, Archers and Sheridan’s all feature regularly in our drinks cabinet so imagine my delight when Mark brought me a bottle of Absolut Vanilla Vodka to try. I love vodka (it doesn't like me too much!) and I love vanilla so I'm thinking I can't really go wrong with this one. Coming in a frosted glass bottle, this vodka is definitely the best looking on the shelf. I've noticed that the vodka manufacturers seem to think ... Read the complete review
