Advantages: tasty and light when added with lemonade
Disadvantages: none at all for me
Christmas is not the same for me without my usual tot (or two) of dutch advocaat, I always buy warninks now as other cheeper brands for me just dont have the same quality taste.
When I was younger my mum introduced me to this drink and I loved it. Its not a strong drink so you can drink quite a lot of it and has no ill effect. I felt so posh and grown up when I had the cherry on a stick with it.
I make up the drink by pouring a small amount of advocaat in a glass first then adding lemonade to it, I always find you need to stir it with a spoon or you end up with a watery liquid on top and a thick heavy mixture at the bottom. Then comes the cherry on a stick for the top!! You can also add lime and then it's called a snowball.
Warninks is on offer in asda at the moment priced at £8.69 its normally around the £10 mark.
The bottle is 70ml and has a 17.2% vol, it's produced in Holland, its made with eggs, sugar and brandy and it does state that you can drink this neat or with a mixer, I personally hate this neat as I find it too thick and heavy, but my sisiter in law loves it neat.
For me christmas would not be the same without it!!
Summary: part of christmas
