... leaves a mild aftertaste in the mouth. It does not last very long and the whole taste experience is subtle. I would not recommend drinking this with strong foods other than cheeses. For some reason this drink goes very well with smoked cheese. It does not store very well. Even if you keep it in the fridge un-opened it still tends to go off quickly - before the use-by date sometimes. Alba is a Scottish Pine ale. Unfortunately it is a seasonal drink, expensive and hard to find, but when you can find it it is worth buying. I prefer dark drinks most of the time. This is a light and refreshing drink with a sweet, unique taste. Made from pine needles it really tastes like pine! It's hard to describe what I mean by this, but whilst it does not smell pine-like, it does have overtones in the taste.
