Advantages: Cheap!

Disadvantages: None

I like a glass of lemonade now and again, I have tried many diet lemonades including Tesco and Asda own brands and found that they taste artificial. I have recently started shopping in Aldi and I thought I would give their Topstar lemonade a go.

A 2 litre bottle costs just 45p, this is a fraction of the costs of the likes of Schwepps and R.Whites. Unlike other budget lemonades the bottle doesn't look 'cheap'.

Topstar pops are manufactured in Ireland and the lemonade contains Irish spring water as well as real lemons. A serving is 250ml of the pop and this contains just 5 calories.

When you open the bottle is isn't too fizzy. I find that a lot of cheap pops are very fizzy and the slightest movement before you open the bottle will result in the pop fizzing over.

Like other lemonades Topstar is clear, it has a nice lemony scent to it. I normally drink lemonade on it's own so the taste is really important to me, I have found this to be the closest to my favourite branded bottle of Schwepps. It has a really crisp and refreshing taste. The lemonade also retains it's fizz for a good week after opening.

I would definately recommend this lemonade it is also great as a mixer with vodka and a slice of lemon. It gets 5 out of 5 from me.

Summary: A refreshing lemonade!
