Advantages: Lactose-free, includes calcium and vitamins, handy size

Disadvantages: None

I'm lactose intolerant, so getting calcium into my diet can be difficult. I don't like plain Soya milk, so rice milk goes on my cereals. However, for a quick snack/drink I do enjoy these Alpro Soya milkshakes, inparticular the Banana flavoured ones.

You might think that a soya milkshake wouldn't taste like a normal milkshake (think of a "thin" milkshake, rather than a "thick" shake such as those at McDonalds), but in my opinion, these don't taste any different. They taste nice and include calcium and vitamins. They are very handy if you have a kid (or "big kid" like me!) who is lactose intolerant and needs a bit of calcium.

The milkshake comes in a small carton (250ml) with a straw attached to the side. They are a great size for popping in a lunchbox! You will find them stored on shelves in shops/supermarkets so they don't have to be served cool, however I do like mine after it's been in the fridge or coolbox.

These cartons come in packs of 3 and can be found in local shops, supermarkets and health food shops. My local health food shops sells them for £1.34 for a pack of 3.

Other flavours include strawberry and chocolate, however I think the chocolate ones taste quite bitter.
