I am a certain age. Let me put that another way. "Je suis d'un certain âge". It sounds so much better in French, implying maturity and wisdom, with a hint of mystery. Sadly, there is no mystery about what age, or âge, does to the female form. I was a skinny child, scraggy even - my mother's despair - but happily grew up to be a slim adult. Now, though, I gaze with fascination and some consternation at the curves I see reflected back at me in the mirror. Not that I'll be troubling the new J size at M&S, other than for jelly-bags. But the fact remains that these new-found curves are not composed of air, or muscle, but the f-word - Fat. It ... Read the complete review

I bought this product for the first time today and have just downed a glass and can think of not one negative thing to say about the taste. Despite it being low calorie (87/21 calories per 100ml serving) it tasted not one bit watery. Obviously, this product is more expensive than the long life cartons of soya in the milk section because it came from the fridge and contains a host of added vitamins. However, today, I am pleased to announce that I got the milk for jus £1 instead of the usual £1.35. The cheapest value brand of soya milk from Tesco is 60p. I think 40p difference is not too bad considering the importance of the additions. Also, Alpro ... Read the complete review

What is it? ******** I would have just said Soya milk - but on the packet, it states; 'a tasty blend of water and Soya beans, with calcium and vitamins'. What does it do? ************* It is intended as an alternative to dairy milk, especially those who are allergic to it or looking for something more nutritious. This particular one is the 'light unsweetened' version - it has no added sugars. This appealed to me it claims to be lower in saturated fat, contains all eight essential amino acids, vitamins, folic acid, natural isoflavones and also omega - 6 & 3. It also suggests that including Soya protein into the diet helps to reduce ... Read the complete review

I'm Lactose Intolerant so don't have any dairy in my diet. When I stopped drinking dairy milk about 8 years ago there were very few alternatives available. You could get soya milk but it tasted a bit fishy (don't ask me why!!) so as you can imagine it was pretty grim. However over recent years the situation is much improved and increased interest in healthy living has seen an abundance of dairy free milks hit the shelves and fridges of the supermarkets. Alpro Soya Light is one of the best dairy free milks around. It is kept in the fridge so doesn't have that 'long life milk' taste that the others can have. Plus, it is good for you! Not only for the ... Read the complete review
