      Disadvantages

      Stick to Apples!!

      I have been a regular consumer of Appletiser for some time now, with my intake increasing greatly when Tesco had a special offer recently - 2 bottles for £3.00!

      Coupled with this, Appletiser had also introduced Appletiser Rewards = each bottle purchased from their fruit drink range revealed a code to be redeemed online. Each code is worth 10 points.
      Points can be then be saved after registering with Appletiser and creating an account.
      20 points = a printable voucher for a free bottle of fruitiser. When used in conjunction with the Tesco offer (unfortunately now ended), each bottle then cost a mere £1.00!
      (Points can also be collected for housewares - so far I am the proud owner of two sets of Appletiser glasses!)

      I was obviously not alone in my purchasing habits as Appletiser became quite scarce at my local Tesco, forcing me to choose a different flavour. I opted for pear, I'm not adverse to eating the occasional sweet juicy pear, in fact, I probably prefer them to apples!

      Peartiser is made from 100% pear juice and citric acid.
      A 100ml serving contains 49kcal.
      Protein, fat & sodium = 0g
      Fibre = 0.3g
      Carbohydrate = 12.0g of which are sugars 8.4g

      Peartiser is carbonated but I would not describe it as fizzy, it has a gentle fizz, just enough bubbles to tickle your tongue. The release of air when first opening the glass bottle is slight, this then gives way to a mild pear aroma.
      As with Appletiser, I served ice cold straight from the fridge.

      On first tasting Peartiser, to say I was disappointed would be an understatement. I had expected a lovely sweet, refreshing pear flavour. Unfortunately, what I experienced could be likened to sour tasting, flavoured water - not unlike a poor quality, watered down cider!
      This drink is definitely not for me! The remainder of the bottle and the others I had bought were quickly passed on to my mum - she loves it! There is no accounting for taste!!

      A 750ml bottle, currently retails in Tesco for £2.57. On special offer at the moment, two bottles cost £4.00.
