More sophisticated fizzy drink
Member Name: headsore
Advantages: Taste and more sophisticated than the usual pop
Disadvantages: More expensive
Regular readers of my reviews will be fully aware that I am a great fan of fizzy pops - all sorts of fizzy pops. However, if you are looking for something slightly more grown up and sophisticated, I would like to suggest Appletiser. I have only just recently discovered this 'posh pop' as my little lad likes to call it. We buy ours from Tesco's and it comes in a nice glass bottle with a twist off cap, as opposed to the usual cheap plastic bottles we usually buy our pop in.
Appletiser also come sin a pear flavour, pay names Peartiser, but actually, we prefer the apple flavoured one. The bottle sizes are large and contain 750ml of fizz and are a deep shade of green. The last time we bought this it was on offer - two bottles for £4, which is pretty good, as they normally retail anywhere between £2.50 to £2.99 a bottle.
We think this is a healthier way of drinking fizzy pop in our house because there is no added sugar to these drinks and also they contain 100% fruit juice, which was a pleasant surprise when we discovered this. The drink is fizzy, though I have to say it is perhaps not as gassy as the likes of the cheap lemonade and coke we buy from the supermarket as a general rule.
The taste of this drink is that of delicate flavoured apple. It is definitely a drink which is aimed more at adults than at children and is a nice alternative if you have guests who do not drink alcohol. The little lad still loves this drink though and me and his mum feel happier giving him this than we do the likes of lemonade or coca cola drinks.
It's a great refreshing taste and delicious when served ice cold straight from the fridge. We cannot find fault with it and really recommend it.
Summary: Really like it and thoroughly recommend
