Advantages: Great taste, versatile!

Disadvantages: A bit "girly"

I admit that I'd never actually buy something so "girly" out of preference, but a few times when I've been drinking with a large group, someone has brought along a bottle of this, and to my surprise, it's actually rather tasty! Also, it's great if you're just starting to "get into" alcohol, and aren't too keen on the taste but enjoy the buzz it gives you. It also is a bit more up-market than some of the tawdry alcopops you will come across.

I'm quite a fan of peaches in general, so this was right up my street, and changed my preconcieved notions of these rather flowery beverages. Also, as a bonus, it has an alcohol volume of 23%, meaning it's liable to give you a pretty good buzz, and has a very rich taste to boot! On the downside, you'll be paying quite a bit for what essentially isn't that much alcohol-wise - it tends to go for about £10-12 in supermarkets, which is only a few quid less than what you'd pay for a nice bottle of JD or Southern Comfort if you're looking for something a little stronger. Still, if taste is what you're after, then this is without a doubt the way to go.

It's also an extremely pleasant drink to mix - at various house parties we've held, this has gone down very well in a rather large mixing bowl, and is also good in a more minimal drink, like Archers and Coke. Of course, it's down to personal preference, and you may just as well prefer it on its own in a shot glass, or even straight out of the bottle! (not judging!). Whether you're just getting into drink or just like a drink that actually TASTES nice, this is a good place to start.
