Advantages: Smooth and rich with complex flavors

Disadvantages: Not cheap!

Well this has to be my favorite Whisky of all time. Have tried the 17 year which is amazing but for value I suppose this one is the better choice for most.
Ardbeg is one of the famous Islay single malt whiskys. This whisky is revered around the world as the most balanced Islay malt It s also the peatiest yet has a complex character and an appealing sweetness. This is such a smooth drinnk and I often find adding just a tiny dash of water until it turns cloudy, often enhances the rich flavors!
I have always liked peaty whisky and this one is probably one of the peatiest I have ever tasted.
I also like the box it comes in, and the bottle itself is my favorite. Always looks good if it has a thin covering of dust on it! I know this doesnt exactly enhance the flavor but its just another reason why Ardbeg is such a great whisky! Have a glass!

Summary: A wonderful tipple!
