Advantages: Delish; Sweet and yummy; Added vitamins; Cheap

Disadvantages: A bit too sweet for some people

I love banana milkshake but buying the ready made bottles works out expensive, I use the Nesquik powder regularly and thought I'd try this Asda version of banana milkshake powder instead because it's not only cheaper than Nesquik but also comes in a bigger tub,

To make the milkshake up you pour out a glass of cold milk and add 2 or 3 big spoons of the yellow banana flavoured powder. Through trial and error I have found out that 3 and a bit spoons makes the perfect milkshake for me, but when I did my mate one the other day she only used 2 spoons so you'll have to suss that one out for yourself.

The powder is very easy to mix into the milk and you don't end up with a load of clumps in the bottom of your glass when you drink it. I always mix mine with a fork because I think any milkshake powder you use is a lot easier to mix in with a fork rather than a spoon.

When it's mixed properly you'll see that there isn't much difference between this milkshake and the more expensive Nesquik. This one from Asda is delish, it's got a lovely sweet flavour and tastes proper strong of banana. It doesn't taste like fresh banana obviously but has got the same sort of FLUFFY taste as those foam banana sweets you can buy. I love how this milkshakes transforms a boring glass of milk into something so sweet and yummy.

The sweetness I think might be too much for a lot of people because this has got a mega sugary flavour, that's the only difference really between this and Nesquik so if you think it's too sweet then it's worth you faffing about with the amount of powder you're putting into the glass because it could be that.

If you use 20g of powder and 200ml of semi skimmed milk then each glass contains 167 calories and 3g fat. That doesn't look too bad but I think it's a bit scary considering I can get through 3 or 4 glasses of this milkshake a day..... time to look for a low calorie version I reckon! lol

This 350g box of milkshake powder cost £1.28, compared to Nesquick that's very good value because their 300g cartons are £1.67 AND this Asda one also has added vitamins such as Vitamin C and folic acid.
