Asda Flavoured Milkshake Mix
Advantages: Tasges good, cheap, last longer that bottled mailshakes
Disadvantages: None that I can think of to be honest
I have two little girls who both love milkshake and to be honest I quite like some every now and then as well. So while I was in ASDA with my mum I thought that I would buy some but rather than buy some in a bottle I thought I would buy the powder stuff so it would last a little bit longer.
At the time that I bought this milkshake paid £1.28 for a 350 gram box. You can every now and then find it on offer for 2 for £2 which is even better in the long run as its only a pound a box. In my opinion, this is great value if it is on offer or not.
You can find this in most supermarkets in the coffee and tea isle but some supermarkets have it in the home baking isle instead. I'm not too sure why the reason for this is but you will either find it in one isle or the other.
It comes in a bright yellow container with a picture of a glass of banana milkshake on it. You can see that it is ASDA own make as the bold blue sign at the top of the box gives it away lol. It states that it is banana milkshake and also that it has added vitamins with a little sign saying 350 grams on it as well.
To make the milkshake it is really rather simple. You pour out a glass of cold milk and add 2 or 3 big heaped spoons of the banana flavoured powder. If your wanting a suttle taste of banana then I would say use two spoonfuls but like me and my girls I recommend that you use 3 spoonful's for that full banana flavoured taste.
Per 20g in 200ml of semi skimmed milk
2.0g sat fat
Only this milkshake is ready to drink you will notice that its not a thick milkshake as it is only as thick as the milk itself. I look at this milkshake as more flavoured milk than milkshake but I am not complaining as it is perfect for me. I'm not a fan of banana I am more of a chocolate and strawberry in general but I really enjoyed this kind, and more importantly so did my two daughters. It does say add 2 to 3 spoonfuls but I add three for a better tasting banana flavour. I was actually rather surprised and how good it tasted as I think that I was expecting it to kind of taste artificial but it wasn't at all. And I was also surprise to find that it was full of vitamins and even folic acid which is great for women who are pregnant or women that are trying for baby.
I would defiantly recommend this product for both children and adults and me and my little princess both enjoyed it. Even more so as It lasted me about a month or so rather than it all finished in one go like the bottles that you buy like Yazoo. I would also highly recommend this to pregnant women as when I was pregnant I was told as well as take my folic acid pill every day to eat or drink food that had it in them which at the time is actually really difficult to find in it. If I had known this when I was pregnant I would of made sure I had at least 2 glasses per day along with my daily tablet and other food that I could find. I would rate this milkshake full marks. It is a 5 out of 5 for me:o)
Thank for taking the time to read my review, it is very much appreciated and I hope my review was useful for you to make your mind up if this milkshake is for you or not. Thanks again.
