Advantages: , low in calories
Disadvantages: Not particularly tasty, doesn't raise energy levels or stimulate me in any way!
Loving my energy drinks as I do I was a little excited when I saw not only could I buy a low calorie option of my favourite drink but also I was so interested in Cranberry flavouring for a change!
The Packaging....
Available in a 500ml silver bottle or 250ml can. I have the can in front of me now but basically information and colour scheme wise whether it be the bottle or the can you choose they look pretty much the same and contain the same information!
So the can is silver and burgundy in colour. On the front in white, dark blue and burgundy writing I'm told it is Asda 'Diet' Cranberry, Blue Charge, High Impact Stimulation Drink which contains Taurine and there is a blue scribbly drawing of a rhino on there and I'm told it an Asda brand that contains no artificial colours or flavours and that it is suitable for Vegetarians. On the back of the can I'm told a bit about the drink, ingredients are listed and storage instructions are there, the best before date is clearly stamped on, size is stated, nutritional information is listed, the recycle symbol is displayed and finally contact details for Asda are given and the bar-code is displayed.
A Bit About The Drink According To The Back Of The Can....
Carbonated low calorie cranberry flavour drink with added taurine, caffeine and vitamins, with sweeteners. High caffeine content (30mg/100ml).
The Drink Itself....
A light raspberry colour, fizzy enough though not overly bubbly it is reasonably sweet though doesn't taste full of sweeteners it really doesn't taste of much really though it's just a light drink. It's doesn't smell or taste particularly of cranberries at all though and it really is quite watery in texture and taste and although refreshing enough to drink (due to it be rather like water) the only real benefit of this is that unlike alot of other energy drinks I have drank in the past it doesn't leave any nasty taste (or any taste actually at all after-wards either!).
Does It Stimulate And/Or Boost Energy Levels...
Not for me no, not at all. It's an ok drink but that's as far as it goes really lol.
Well....Overall Verdict....
This is a little reminiscent of fruit and is simply ok but can't be referred to as a tasty drink because of it's lack of flavour. It goes flat rather quickly (almost as soon as it is poured) but it is light and does help thirst of course!
