      Traditional and tasty

I love cloudy lemonade. It is so traditional and reminds me of my childhood. Asda Cloudy Lemonade is great value for money as you can normally get three bottles for £1. The bottle is very traditional looking and looks old fashioned which really appeals as me as it is a classic old fashioned drink. I always buy the diet version as it has hardly any calories in and it still tastes great. The taste of this is perfect. It is really lemony and sweet and doesn't taste artificial or chemically. It is lovely and fizzy and it keeps its fizz really well so even the day after I have opened the bottle it is still nice and fizzy and still tastes great. It has a very sharp lemon taste but it is so sweet that there is no bitterness which makes it a really lovely drink. It is great for drinking over ice on a hot day as it is very refreshing and really quenches my thirst. I think this drink appeal to adults as well as children because it does look quite grown up and is not a bright coloured fizzy pop that would put some adults off. I would definately recommend Asda Cloudy Lemonade. I think it is a lovely traditional drink that is enjoyed by both adults and children.

        .

I remembered having 'real lemonade' from Marks and Spencer a while ago and really liking it so when I saw this I thought it would be pretty similar but in a bigger bottle and cheaper. Its packaged in what you'd expect from asda- a large 2L clear plastic bottle with a screw top lid on the top, I really prefer these over any other sort of opening although it can sometimes still be hard to open and when this happens I just open it with a towel, it works! There is a label on it showing you the name of the product and the information about it, it has tried to show a bit of a retro feel to it as cloudy lemonade does seem to be a bit of an old fashioned drink. Pouring the drink out into the glass, it is a bit of a strange pale yellow colour and immediately you get the smell of sugars and lemon! It is quite fizzy but not overly so. Its really a lot better served cold, it doesn't taste right when its warm. The taste isn't awful but I'm also not really that keen on it, its really quite strong as you can really taste the lemons, and its also totally sweet so not really very refreshing and you can get sick of it after a while. The taste may suit some people however, who really like lemon or have a totally sweet tooth! It won't be too good for your teeth though with the amount of sugar in this. It cost about 40p so it was quite a reasonable price.

        YUK!

When it comes to pop I'm a particular fan of the stuff going through 2 litre of the bottles of the stuff at the rate of knots which is why whenever possible I tend to purchase shops own and cheaper versions of the stuff. I liked the sound of this drink when I spotted it in Asda and costing a mere 48p I decided to treat myself to a bottle of it. The Packaging: 2L see-through plastic bottle with a blue twist on/off lid/cap to the top of it. On the front of the label there is a cricket scene depicted and I am told that it is Asda 'No Added Sugar' Cloudy Lemonade 'Made With Real Lemons' and that it contains no artificial colours, flavours or aspartame and that it is suitable for Vegetarians. On the back of the label other information listed includes ingredients and allergy advice being given, a full nutritional rundown chart is shown and contact details for Asda are clearly stated. Nice looking bottle this. The Drink Itself: A light yellow, cloudy sort of transparent colour, open this up you get a strong zesty citrus smell and a slight fizz. Taste wise however this really is sour (too sour for me) and really weirdly overpowered with a fake sweetness. It loses its fizz almost as soon as it is poured and add ice to it and that kills the bubbles almost on sight! Yes to be fair to it tastes of lemons but sour ones and I'm not one bit keen on this drink at all. I won't say it isn't a quality and that it is a cheap and nasty drink cos it quite simply isn't.... but the sour and sweet taste actually knocks me sick rather a lot! Not for me this one but worth a try if your interested and like sharp drinks!
