Advantages: Cheap, nice can, nice flavour, contains the same amount of vitamins as the regular energy drinks

Disadvantages: Doesn't do a lot for me (that I've noticed!)

Loving my energy drinks (and getting through far too many of them and it's costing me a fortune lately!) when I saw this in a 1 litre bottle for 89p and a can (which is 250ml, 39p and what I have in front of me) I thought it had to be better than parting with my usual £1.29 a can for red bull or something like that! I like cans due to them staying fresh and being perfect to cart about with me, which I do very often as I really am addicted to them lol.

The Packaging....

As I have already said I have the 250ml can in front of me which is silver and navy in colour (as is the bottle) and on the front of it in white, blue and red writing I'm told it is Asda 'Diet' Blue Charge 'High Impact Stimulation Drink' which contains Tourine. I'm also told it contains no artificial colours or flavours and is suitable for Vegetarians and there is like a blue drawing of what I think is a Rhino type of creature lol. On the back of the can I'm told a bit about the drink, ingredients are listed, storage details are given as is the best before date and weight stated. Nutritional information is fully listed and I'm told the can is made of metal and is widely recyclable and I'm given contact details for Asda and finally there is a bar-code on there. Nice looking can with a ring-pull to the top, this is and the bottle as I mentioned earlier is pretty much the same as the can (but in bottle form of course lol).

A Bit About The Product According To The Back Of The Can....

Carbonated low calorie fruit flavour soft drink with added taurine, caffeine and vitamins, with sweeteners. High caffeine content (30mg/100ml).

The Drink Itself.....

Sweet and reminds me of 'hubba bubba' bubble gum in the blue packet when I was a kid (that's going back a bit lol). Appearance wise it's dark yellow and fizzy.

It's not a 'thick' syrupy drink and is actually rather light and watery with a light blended fruity taste to it and I think I can detect some strawberries in the smell of it as well as the taste.

It tastes nice enough. Not too strong, not at all tangy but for a' diet' drink it isn't at all bad because it isn't full of nasty sweeteners or rubbish to the taste of it! If your familiar with red bull energy drinks then this is alot lighter and weaker in it's overall taste than that and it doesn't stay bubbly once opened for longer than half an hour at best. It is best served chilled in my view and is very drinkable indeed leaving no particular after-taste.

Does It Boost My Energy Though?

Hmm...sadly I don't think it does.... no. I like it though and find it refreshing enough and it isn't sickly or anything and has no adverse effects and the price it's on sale at is cheap in my opinion so I may as well drink this because I don't really think energy drinks are that effective anyway it's just a strange addiction I have lol.
