The cheap red bull with the same result - Emerge yourself (Asda Emerge Energy Drink)

Advantages: a great tasting, cheap energy drink

Disadvantages: can be addictive and bad results may occur

Although it says Asda, I have bought this drink in many supermarkets and stores such as Poundland, Wilkinsons and others.

One of the best things about this particular drink is the price. Personally, I think it is the same as red bull but a fraction of the price. In Poundland is it four cans for a pound, bargin and the same in Wilkinsons, it is brilliant, you can not even buy one for that price. You can also buy it singley, 39p a can it is worth a try.

The packaging is a simple slim but tall can which is silver with a red 'zig-zag' pattern going from the bottom of the can to the top in a diagonal motion until it hits the top point and goes down the other side, I think this is quite effective and noticable. The simple bold word stating it is Emerge is printed on the front with a white outline, I find this different as normally you would find black outlines over a coloured writing, it is great. It also states it is a stimulant. On the back it clearly states it contains caffeine and states its dangers too, this is a good aspect for an energy drink. Also, it contains its ingredients.

Recently I have been purchasing this drink before work and I have to say as I have late nights and early starts it really helps me stay awake and motivated.

From the first sip until the last there is a refreshing sensation down your throat , it is carbonated and the best way to describe it is a tingling sensation that streams down your throat. It tastes fruity and I have became highly addicted to this drink. It leaves a really great taste in your mouth too, not one like red bull when you need to keep drinking it to get the same results.

I have to say, I have been drinking this in high amounts and it is really not good for you, drink it in moderation or you will regret it.

All in all, I think this drink is worth the money and for people who, like me have late nights and early mornings need a refreshing little lift to get yourself going. I recommend it to anybody who is not sensitive to caffeine. Happy drinking.
