Advantages: Tasty
Disadvantages: Goes too quick
Asda High Juice has what it says on the label, a high level of real fruit juice in it, far more than many cordial type juices.
The juice I normally bought had 4% juice, the High Juice range had 45% juice.
The kids love this stuff and I have to admit the kids are right, and the juice is absolutely lovely , the fruitiness just bursts through with every mouthful, and I haven't found a flavour I don't like yet. It's quite a sweet taste. If you don't like it too sweet you could always dilute it a bit more which seems to affect the sweetness first, before affecting the taste. This is the most blackcurranty juice I've had and I prefer it to the likes of C-Vit and Ribena (which interestingly, despite the adverts making out there are loads of blackcurrants in it, only has 22% fruit juice).
The drink is really refreshing, especially on a hot day and we've gone through loads of it this year (not that the summer was particularly warm!). It's a real thirst quencher.
The allergy advice states that the ingredients cannot be guaranteed nut free, and it contains sulphites! It's free From Aspartame, artificial colours fand artificial Flavours. 250ml contains 50% of the daily recommended allowance for vitamin C, so it's a good way to get some vitamins into kids if yours don't like fruit.
The only downside is that you have to use rather a lot per glass, the recommended dilution is one part juice to four parts water, so a bottle doesn't last very long. And even though I'm normally as tight as a anything, I have to say the flavour makes this worth the extra cost.
