ASDA Lime Cordial
Advantages: taste and price
I enjoy trying out shop's own brands of various drinks, including not only fizzy pops and squashes, but hot drinks and cordials and own brand alcohol. Lately I have been drinking Asada's sown brand lime cordial and at only 55p for a fairly large plastic bottle, I ma have to say I have been impressed with this tasty little drink.
I do like lemon and lime flavours as I find them very refreshing. However, I have found some of them can be fairly chemically tasting or have an odd aftertaste. I was pleasantly surprised with the Asada lime cordial drink, which tastes light and refreshing as well as having a fantastic taste of real limes.
I like to add a droop of this to my lager (as does my other half) and it makes a nice change instead of drinking the lager on its own. It gives it a nice pleasant kick. The cordial is fairly strong so if you are just going to drink it on its own with water and ice, I would recommend you go easy on how much you initially pour into the bottom of your glass. Put in less first to test the strength and I think you will be surprised by how far this stuff goes.
We like to fill our tall glasses nice and full and add a good amount of ice. It makes for a very tasty and refreshing drink. I also make up a cordial drink to take with me to my skipping class in my sports bottle, and it's great to drink between breaks and is a fantastic thirst quencher.
It compares very favourably indeed with the higher priced and branded cordials have tasted and overall I would have to say I prefer this one, especially as it costs considerably less than I usually pay.
Great product and very much recommended.
Summary: Overall a great product
