This is very cheap looking packaging but a good size for the money in appearance and informative enough too. The Lemonade Itself: So the lemonade is a clear liquid and when you twist off the lid you get a weird sot of sweetener smell and a lot of fizz escaping the bottle. This is a very fizzy drink indeed, even when po...more

Asda Smart Price Lemonade: Be smart and don't buy it eh! (491 words)

I usually do my weekly shopping in Asda as its the most convenient shop for me to get to really. As I've been going there so long now I pretty much know what I do and don't like and the best buys and the likes. Most of the time I don't mind the Smart Price range. I find it good value for money and although theres some stuff I really don't like there are some like the mozzarella cheese, washing powder when I'm broke toilet roll and the likes! With it being Christmas I have been desperately trying to make little cut backs, like a lot of us have been I guess and at 18p a bottle I decided that I must give this lemonade a go as my usual choice was over a pound a ...  Read the complete review

Asda Smart Price lemonade - Bargain (245 words)
by shopalotkt - written on 24/11/10

Smart price lemonade is not the best tasting lemonade in the world but is great for mixing with other drinks. I don't see the point in buying expensive lemonade when I am going to mix it with wine, spirits or squash so as this lemonade only costs 18p for a 2 litre bottle it is perfect and is a complete bargain. The packaging is the standard Smart price white and green but that does not put me off at all. What I really like about it is that it has hardly any calories in it. Even though it doesn't say no added sugar on it it is only 1 calorie per 250ml serving so it means I can drink as much of it as I like without having to worry about the ...  Read the complete review

Asda Smart Price Lemonade: yuck, yuck and more yuck (404 words)

Asda smart price: Right I will be bluntly honest about this lemonade. It tastes absolutely horrendous. I drank less than a quarter of the bottle before I poured it down the sink in disgust. Yuck. I am not sure why but when I sent my man shopping (this being my key mistake) he came home with 2 bottles of this. The reason was probably the 19p price tag, but believe me when I say that's all it has going for it. I can't quite bring myself to say lemonade because it just tastes nothing like the real thing. When you think lemonade the first thing that springs to mind is Lemons. Refreshing, fizzy yummy goodness. This lemonade tastes like soda ...  Read the complete review

A bargain bottle of pop. (322 words)

Being on a budget I found it's the best time to start purchasing stores own brand products, Purchasing my shopping online it rough up straight away the smart price lemonade. I would have expected the more expensive ones to come up first but after seeing the price I popped a grand total of 10 bottles of lemonade into the basket. As I was ordering I thought this was great as I didn't need to carry them up the stairs to my flat. Lemonade is a very popular drink in our household so buying the branded bottles is out of the question. Priced at only 18 pence for one 2litre bottle is a bargain. You could purchase 4 of these for the price of once branded ...  Read the complete review

Asda Smart Price Lemonade: over gassiness left me deflated!! (519 words)

Over a period of time I have bought and sampled quite a lot of the smart price range of groceries. Whilst some are really good and almost identical to more expensive brands. I have to say with smart price lemonade this is not the case. It is the cheapest pop I have ever tasted. Okay so with a price tag of 18p a bottle what did I expect, well the answer to that question is, I was certainly not expecting the taste to be in the same league as Schweppes, but I did expect some degree of flavour. The lemonade comes in a 2 litre plastic bottle. (good for recycling). Around the centre of the bottle is the white and green smart price label. lemonade is printed ...  Read the complete review
