Recently I have been keeping more of an eye on my money and havent been buying as much junk food as usual as a way to cut my spending.
I decided to try this lemonade as it was only 18p for 2 litres and I thought that there was nothing to lose, if I dont like it then it only cost 18p, and if I do, well thats a cheap way to enjoy lemonade.
Unfortunatly, I didnt like this lemonade at all, it kind of tastes like really watery lemons and isnt really that fizzy either, its just not that great of quality and doesnt really taste like anything, I suppose you get what you pay for really, and that isnt a lot.
Some people however may like the taste of this drink so they may have found a way to enjoy lemonade for cheaper, I just prefere drinks with a bit more taste to them, that have less of a watery taste.
The packaging is the Asdas Smart Price basic cover, nothing frilly or swanky, so at least you know your not really paying much for packaging, if only the lemonade inside tasted good.

From the nutritional information stating that there is not any calories, fat etc. in the drink, and given the taste of Asda Smart Price Lemonade, I think you would be better off paying the extra money for a good lemonade, finding a different cheap alternative, or simply just stick to water, as this lemonade is just like water anyway and water is free.

- 19/04/09 Good review here.
At a recent visit to friends away, I had to buy this as they had no tonic water left for gin! I was really disappointed that ASDA at the time had no lemonade either. So I was stuck with this and surprisingly I found it okay - a perfect mixer for Gin & Tonics - I didn't need to bother with buying lemons or limes!
But I agree with you on taste alone - its not nice! |
