Advantages: Cheap, nice packaging, good for mixing

Disadvantages: goes flat quick, too sweet

As my shopping took me to ASDA a couple of weeks ago I decided to try out some of their budget "smart price" range.

I must say that i find their packing in this range preferable to bothe the Tesco and Sainsbury's version of the budget brand. the lime green looks quite fresh against the white label.

I quite often buy budget range lemonade as a mixer - if we are working in the garden I like nothing better than a shandy and this obviously needs lemonade.

On opening the bottle it gave me that usual fizz noise - so far so good. This was the non diet version so I expected it to be sweeter than the standard version but in the shandy this tasted OK.

later I decided to try some of the lemonade on its own - this was abit of a mistake, as I had experienced with a number of the budget range the fizz seemed to have left the drink very quickly and the lemonade was now virtually flat - the bottle had only been open a few hours.

The taste wasn't great either too sweet for me and not enough lemon flavour.

Stick to using this as a mixer - the only reason this product managed to get 3 stars

Summary: Not a smart product
