Okay, I'm trying to save a bit of money. After staring at the teabag array in ASDA recently, looking at the price per 100g and trying to work out the best deal for teabags that will make drinkable tea, I decided I would try their own brand. £3.47 for 240 bags (although they're currently on offer 2 for £5 and Tetley are only £3.00 for the same size pack - prices correct as of 03/09/09). I usually buy Tetley or PG Tips but I have been quite slovenly of late and had run out and there were no offers on my usuals. The description on the box says 'A blend of specially selected teas for a smooth rounded flavour' and states it's an 'improved ... Read the complete review

I am not what you may deem a big tea drinker, but when I do have a cup I like to be like the proverbial "builders tea", this being strong and almost black, as the tea bag gets left in so long! I know that there are some real tea connoisseurs out there, by this I mean the PG tips brigade or like my husbands late nan who would only ever drink Yorkshire tea, I am not though as particular! As long as the tea tastes nice and can brew a decent cuppa, I am not that bothered if it is made by a certain company, price being as important in my case as taste! This being the case I thought I would review my tea of choice - "Asda ... Read the complete review

I always seem to be amazed when I read reviews by people on things such as tea bags and toilet rolls and other everydays essentials such as this as I just would find it so hard to give enough information on products such as these. However, I find myself here today writing this review on asdas own brand tea bags, my partner bought these yesterday as I was working, he was off and did the shopping, an extreme rareity! So, he bought asda teabags and I just had my first cup of the day about an hour ago and here I find myself writing this review to inform my fellow dooyooers who really appreciate a good quality cuppa, that these asda teabags are not going to be ... I enjoy a cup of tea or two during the day. Well actually make that a cup of tea or 10, because I get through at least that many in a day. So I've drunk my fair share of tea from various suppliers and Asda Tea Bags are just as good as any others. Of course tea bags will never beat proper tea leaves, but unless I'm making a full pot for all of us, I've joined the masses and taken the easy way out by using teabags. The Asda teabags aren't made from leaves of just one country, they're a a mixed blend. For me they are only usable when I'm drinking tea with milk, because they brew almost immediately, and since lemon tea has to be a ... Read the complete review
