 ... Smooth, warming to the throat, it's the equivalent of a good whiskey. Without becoming all Food and Drinky, it's got a rich flavour, hints of marzipan. If you ever get a chance to buy some to bring back from abroad, I'd recommend getting it. It's a really nice dark rum and a pleasure to drink. My only niggle is I'm reluctant to mix it with coke if someone asks for a rum and coke. ...more

Fresh from a university paid for trip to Spain, I arrived home with a bottle of this 8 year old rum in my suitcase. Got it for £8 in Spain, so I knew it had to be something special to warrant the extra £2 seperating it from the other spirits. My normal experience of rum comes from either Bacardi and cokes in the pub, or if my friends are being sadistic, neat shots of the roughest stuff they can find from god knows where. On first look, it's a richly brown colour and smells quite fruity, as opposed to like nail polish like so many of the rums I've had in the past.
