... preference. This I find tends to make its appearance during Christmas time and its either something you will love or loathe, me personally I like it. It is creamy and gives a warming feeling like any stronger alcoholic drink like a cognac. A bottle does last a while, so despite its creamyness it does not go off too quickly either. Baileys have now re marketed it by inserting certain flavours and also baileys can be found in other things like Haagen Daas ice cream and other types of food. A good seasonal winner for me....more

Premium Review Baileys Irish Cream: The cream of the Irish (934 words)
by - written on 22/03/08 (Very useful, 412 readings)
Rating:

Baileys Baileys Original Irish Cream is a unique blend of fresh Irish dairy cream, Irish whisky and natural flavours. History In 1971 the senior managers committee of Gilbeys of Ireland had an idea to make a uniquely Irish drink that reflected Irelands heritage, agriculture and distilling traditions. Whilst the concept of this drink was fairly simple the actual recipe was proving difficult and cream and whiskey do not mix together naturally. By 1973 the recipe was perfected and all the issues with production in bulk and shelf life where resolved. 1974 - the year of the Baileys launch - hurray . By 1979 over 1 million ...  Read the complete review

If you are a regular dooyoo writer you may have read from my drinks reviews, I like to try new drinks when I go out with a couple of mates and I was in my local Yates and my mate was nowhere to be seen so I decided to try something new. (I usually just buy a round in when I am with my mates). And after looking at the drinks menu for a minute or so I decided to try a glass of Baileys. Now some people may consider this a girly drink for some odd reason but I see it as what it is, just a drink. So I ordered a Baileys and went over to stand by one of those high tables and proceeded to sip the Baileys whilst looking around the club for my mate who eventually ...  Read the complete review

Baileys Irish Cream: baileys - simply delicious! (179 words)
by Golden Girl - written on 05/09/07

Baileys is a delicious, creamy, alcoholic liquer. It has a wonderful coffee-toffee flavour and is not too strong at all. It is usually about 17% alcohol. You can make many delcious drinks using baileys, it's even good on it's own! The most common ways to drink it are either straight, with ice, or with milk. But baileys is also used in a number of cocktails - I even heard of a shot that has Baileys and Midori together. Not sure about that! This drink is delicious as a night-cap, to relax you after a hard day, as a kind of sauce over your ice cream, or in coffee too! The only problem with it is that it's so delicious you might drink more ...  Read the complete review

Crowned Review Baileys: Irish Creamy Heaven? (1920 words)

**Overview** I can remember that my mum has always like Baileys even since I've been young. I always thought it looked like a caramely type milkshake. The first time I tried Bailey was at Christmas when I was nearly 17, everyone was having an after dinner drink so I thought I'd try a glass of Baileys on the rocks, to be honest I didn't like it. However, after trying it a couple of years later I have since changed my mind and I'm a big fan of Baileys now! **A Little Bit of History** The origins of Baileys lie with the senior managers committee of 'Gilbeys of Ireland' who in 1971 decided to make a uniquely Irish drink that would reflect the ...  Read the complete review

I was in the off licence last night looking for a nice drink I could enjoy while putting my feet up in front of the tele. I fancied Baileys but my purse didn't! :o( Then I noticed a 'box' on the shelf with BAILEYS MINI's on the front and even better a sticker on the front telling me they're on special offer..... and I've got enough money! Yeahhhhhh. :o) So I buy them and lovingly place them in my bag with a big smile on my face....... OK, Baileys Mini's are the business! A brilliant idea that really Baileys should have thought of years ago. They've put the wonderful drink that is Baileys into a little bottle, well, to be precise 4 ...  Read the complete review
