Advantages: Lovely taste and not too expensive.

Disadvantages: Can become a bit sickly.

I am not by any stretch of the imagination a big drinker but I have drinks I enjoy and one of them is Baileys Irish Cream, this drink can be used as part of many different cocktails but for me it has to be drank on its own with plenty ice.

It has a bit of a reputation as a girlie drink and somewhat the drink of lightweights but as a whisky based drink I find that hard to understand. The drink is a mixture of Irish cream and whiskey and has an ABV of 17% which is not that high but when you consider it is designed to drink straight it is high enough.

It has a lovely creamy taste with just enough bite from the whiskey to give it a nice kick as it glides over your tonsils. I love this stuff and do drink quite a few glasses of it when out or even at home from time to time but you have to be careful as it can become a little sickly if you really over indulge. I also find it sickly if it is a bit warm so make sure you enjoy it over ice!

A litre bottle of this will cost you around £13 but it is occasionally on offer at £10 a litre at Asda but usually this offer is kept for Christmas time.

Summary: A lovely drink!

My daughter loves Baileys, she likes the new caramel one too.
