Advantages: Sweet taste

Disadvantages: Can be sickly

Baileys Irish Cream is one of those drinks that is a bit of an acquired taste and not one I was initially fond of however I gave it a second chance and if I'm in the mood then it is a drink that I enjoy every so often especially after a meal as long as have not over eaten.

Baileys Irish Cream is a liqueur, it is a light brown colour and has a slightly thick conssyency to it, it is a blend of Irih whiskey and Irish cream and the cream certainly smooths out the harsher qualities of the Irish whiskey. My preferred way of drinking it is to have it chilledwit a couple of ice cubes in it and nothing else.

It is not overly strong as it is 17% proof and at the moment Morrisons have an offer on where it is £10 a bottle which is a good price.

It has a smooth texture to it and the sweetess of the cream helps to offset the slightly harsh bitter taste of the whiskey, it is rather sweet and not something I can drink much of otherwise I find it sickly, for me it is ideal after a meal especialy if I'm not bothering with dessert and do not want a coffee as the caffeine will keep me awake.

Summary: Whiskey based drink

It's definitely an after dinner or end of night drink. I love it though!
