Advantages: Great taste

Disadvantages: Expensive compared to others

Baileys is based describe as a liqueur made up of Irish whiskey and cream. This very popular drink is available in nearly all supermarkets and costs around £13 for a 70 centilitre bottle. Baileys has an alcoholic content of 17%. A single serving contains 5.7g of fat, 11g of carbohydrates, 1.3g of protein and 144 calories.

Since its release in 1974 numerous versions of the product have been released. In 2006 creme caramel and mint versions of the drink were released. In addition to this, Haagen - Dazs now produce a baileys flavour ice cream too.

This drink is very smooth an excellent choice for people who enjoy liqueurs. This is perhaps best enjoyed as a sweet finish to a meal. Baileys is best served on ice or alternatively used as part of a number of cocktails. I would highly recommend buying the baileys branded Irish liqueur over cheaper versions. Supermarkets own brands tend to have a harsher coffee flavour.

Summary: A smooth threat
