Advantages: Nice bottle
Disadvantages: Tastes disgusting, Smells, High in Calories
My mother and my nan are both fans of Baileys. They drink it quite alot. However, I hate the stuff.
It is quite expensive, but the price varies depending on where you get it from. It is very high in calories and alcohol, it has an extremly strong and nasty after-taste and smell (which I can smell on my breath afterwards).
I thought it was supposed to be some kind of coffee liquer (but have since been informed otherwise), it's creamy but it lacks a nice taste, which I feel is essential (I'm sure many will agree).
It is in an attractive bottle, I will give it that.
I wouldn't even suggest you drink with a meal even if you like it because it's very thick and I would find it very filling.
I think Baileys is like Marmite, you either love it or you hate it- I hate both. But it has to be a matter of personal taste. Go ahead and try it (take a little sip first!)- but don't say I didn't warn you.

- 09/08/01 Thanks for sharing your opinion but Bailey's is not a coffee liqueur at all. Also, more information about how fattening it it and how many calories it contains would be useful in backing up your points. I've never heared of Bailey's sticking to your breath (any more than any other alcoholic drink does) and more information on this insight would be useful too. You say it has a nasty taste and smell, perhaps you can be a little more specific. Let me know if you update your opinion and I will re-rate it. Cheers {:0) |
